Whale & Star Press publishes books on art, poetry, art practice, and critical theory.  Founded by Enrique Martínez Celaya in 1998, it emerged from and remains responsive to the concerns of the studio. The publishing program, which involves collaboration with scholars, writers, musicians, and artists, includes five series: Artist and Writers, Working Book, Monographs, Whale, and Editions.  The titles are promoted and distributed internationally.
